>From Humble Beginnings

Stepheny grew up in a hardworking Latin family with a strong dad and mom. Her dad was born in Mexico and moved to Houston when she was 10 years old. Stepheny was the middle child of 3 sisters and mentions having ‘middle child syndrome.’
Her father instilled the value of hard work and the belief that they could achieve anything they set their minds to. He involved them in his AC company, teaching them various skills. Her mother was a stay-at-home mom who emphasized always looking one’s best and having a strong character. She was very supportive and instilled confidence in her daughters. Her upbringing in a hardworking Latin family, with strong parental influence, shaped their values, confidence, and belief in achieving anything they set their mind to.

Stepheny and her husband Juan Carlos met in high school and stuck together for years before inviting their first son into the world when they were 16 years old. She talks about having to grow up very quickly and figuring out how to be a parent at such a young age which was not an easy thing to do. At first she was hesitant to share personal stories, such as being a teen mom, but now feels more comfortable sharing to inspire others. Stepheny discusses the decision to become entrepreneurs, influenced by family history and the desire to personally raise their son. They started a car dealership with three cars and have grown the business over time.
The first three cars at the dealership were a 99 Tahoe, a Lincoln Town Car, and a Jeep Cherokee. Their first client bought a car to pull a boat and has remained a loyal customer. Initially rented, the business location was eventually purchased. It is now a facility with office space and a lot, located in East Houston, called Original Motors.

Stepheny recalls a moment of trust and faith with her husband during stressful times in their business, emphasizing the importance of believing in the process. With both of them having a strong faith, they truly believed that everything will work out as long as they have faith and hope. Over time, this team of two grew and brought other families together to work in a positive environment with purpose behind their work. The business operates like a family, with team members supporting each other and participating in family events and outings.

Stepheny has always enjoyed doing challenging tasks and finds excitement in accomplishing difficult things, which boosts her self-esteem.
She practices gratitude and self-affirmation daily, using visual aids like virtual vision boards to stay motivated.
